Rizla Buzzwords

We’ve been busy again with Rizla – this time creating a Flash game competition to win one of 5 limited edition prints of an original Rizla advert!

It seems the ‘Rizla Rollers’ love anything with the Rizla logo on it – only last month they ran a competition giving away 300 Rizla branded tents that went down a storm! So this time we were asked to come up with some ideas for an engaging competition entry mechanism that would give the user a real sense of what the competition is all about.

We’re all about coming up with fun ideas that really engage our clients audience and keep them interacting with their brand time and again.

Go check out the Rizla Buzzwords and try your luck

We’ve got plenty more exciting developments with Rizla coming up so watch this space…!

Rizla welcomes the summer with a brand new website

The New Rizla Website

We’re proud to announce a brand new addition to our growing portfolio – the all new Rizla website developed in collaboration with Original Online, Third Rock and Khanh Tu.

The focal point of the website is the Rizla Player which pulls together hours of exclusive tunes, video interviews and photography gathered from years of Rizla parties and festivals into an innovative media player featured on the home page. Current Plump favorites are Greg Wilson (Rizla Riverboat Shuffle 2009) and Gruff Rhys (Lovebox 2009).

A new website for Business Advantage

We’ve just launched a new website for Business Advantage – a joint venture between Sheffield Hallam and Sheffield University.

Business Advantage Website by Plump Digital

As a progression from the original brand launch site we built back in June 2010, the site is now focused on communicating the unique Business Advantage offering and daily operations much more clearly.

By implementing a powerful Content Management System (CMS), team members from both Sheffield Hallam and Sheffield University have a host of intuitive content management tools at their fingertips to ensure their website is kept up to date easily and cost effectively. We’ve also re-designed the navigation system, calls to action and colour palette to accommodate the additional content and enhance the user experience whilst remaining true to brand guidelines.

Built around the Silverstripe CMS framework, we’ve been able to implement a completely bespoke site structure, set of page templates and call-to-action system to allow Business Advantage a huge amount of flexibilty and control within a site that remains functional and user friendly throughout.

Key features of the CMS include:

  • Full site content management
  • Course management
  • News & events
  • Promo-panel manager
  • Data trap / contact form
  • Image library & manager
  • User group & permissions management

We can’t show you around the CMS, but if you’re interested to know more about it, click here. Otherwise, feel free to have a look around the new Business Advantage site – it’s at www.business-advantage.org

A blast from the past

We we’re just having a crawl of the web as we often do on a Friday and we stumbled across the very first commercial project we ever did together. It’s still online after 10 years!!!

a blast from the past

In our second year at uni, our former lecturer and friend invited us to have a crack at translating his design consultancy’s printed brochure into an interactive presentation to feature on his website.

This was back in 2001 when flash was coming of age as a tool for creating engaging websites and pushing the boundaries of interactivity and user experience. Designing websites was all about experimenting with new ways to navigate and interact with content and it was this aspect of the digital communications revolution that hooked us in.

With inspiration drawn from the nokia snakes game and the dot-com-boom poster-child agency Deepend, this project was a playground for us to develop our skills in flash, get some commercial experience and some extra beer money. It’s nice to think it’s still out there on the web.
